My Indian heritage has given me a passion for the luxurious textile and intricate hand work.My passion is to create unique pieces of wearable art in my purses, messenger bags, totes, wristlets, pocket purses, murses, purse organizers, and pocket bracelets.
I started this venture by making small pocket purses to wear as extensions of my traditional Indian outfits which had no pockets. Thanks to the patient teaching efforts of my mother, I started to expand my repertoire by experimenting with various textiles, leather and repurposed outfits.
With globalization at its peak, fashion, arts and fibers from all corners of the earth have flooded our lives with color and flair. Therefore, my purses are a reflection of the beauty I find in the materials from around the world. From brocades,to silks to hand dyed designer fabrics to leather.
My leather embroidered bags are inspired by my love for gardening and are guaranteed to give pleasure for a lifetime. Sometimes, I use fabrics that have sentimental value such as vintage linens, wedding dresses, coats or family quilts, to showcase them and thereby producing a wearable art that tell their own sensational stories.
I invite you to visit my site periodically as I add new and unique designs almost every week. Please feel free to let me know on my Facebook page how you like a particular style or technique.
My imaginations become reality because I have the support of my family.
